One of the much awaited events of the Panaad 2009 celebrations is the Search for Lin-ay Sang Negros 2009. The pageant night will be on April 24, 2009 at the Panaad Park and Stadium.
Vying for the coveted title are 24 lovely candidates from the different cities and municipalities of the Province of Negros Occidental.

i was really fascinated when i heard the news that Ciara is one of the candidates!
she was my schoolmate in highschool and we know each other personally.
it was a bomb to my ear to ever hearing her being awarded as the ” muse of the media”!!!!
it is indeed the pride of our alma matter for having her as an alumna of our school.
i just wish everyone goodluck and hope to see Ciara on April 23, 2009 because she’s going to turn-over the crown for the yet upcoming queen of the lin-ay sang himamaylan 2009!!

I watched half of the show. Frankly speaking, I really do not like the outcome of the event. Whole production?my gaaaaad! Practice makes Perfect, please remember this rule. To all the organizers, better luck next year!

I watched the show and as I observed daw ngpigaw ang production sini nga tuig. Tani ang sa production number ishowcase ta ya ang about sg culture and the arts of Negros. Daw indi maintiendiahan ang pagrampa kay gaginumon sa stage during swimsuit and long gown competition. Ang female host wala nagacomplement sa kay Paolo, too lousy kg kulang sa sense of humor. Daw wala mayo audience impact unlike sg mga previous nga stagings. Nothing can beat sg sa iya production ni Kitchie Benedicto, amo to ang tahumx kg ang mga nagligad pa gid sadto. Hope next year, the pageant organizer should come up with a much better production so we can sustain the popularity of the Search for Lin-ay sg Negros.

kanugon guid bala sang miss bacolod. nataktak guid siya sa festival costume kag sa gown. mag ano ano ya ang tourism sang bacolod man? nag kupit naman sa budget? daw guinamos ang festival costume kag ang gown naman daw lunang! mahuya man kamu! gin dagdag ninyo guid ang bata! beauty and brains guid to da an kay naka watch guid kmi pag miss massKara. kung sin o man nada ang ara sa tourism, huya huya man..
it was all fucked up. I watched the show as I have done in the past countless lin-ays and I must say that this year was done like a breeze swept all the girls off the stage.
First off, the stage looked awfully BAD. like a group of third-graders made it. good thing, the lights made it look better. Then, there was the announcement of the top ten. I must agree that the production’s take on making the show an innovative one was commendable. But! their judges were blind!
Murcia and Silay in with the top teN?! how on earth could that happen?! days before the show, I was told by a friend (whose got some inside connections with lin-ay) that the main criteria would be FACE, FIGURE, and GOWN.
Now, you be the judge, using the criteria mentioned above, you really think that Murcia and Silay would be in?! Wtf.
If I would have my hand on the judges’ scoresheet, I would include BINALBAGAN and LA CASTELLANA in place of MURCIA and SILAY.
But then, all things happen for a reason. I am just hoping that the next time, the production will give the Negrense audience something that is worth watching, and something that will be remembered.

Congratulations to the top three winners of the Lin ay sang Negros. You all deserve it except the Ms. Hinobaan was also my favorites. To Ms. Rushton: I read the article in the Lifestyle Issue of Visayan Daily Star regarding “the Queens Mom” during Mom’s day but we were a bit disappointed that no family pictures esp. your Mom was included.Yours must be a beautiful family Im sure so next time plase include your family pictures. Ok? MOre power and may you carry your crown succesfully.
