Negros Occidental and Pampanga Sisterhood

PAL started its direct flights between Bacolod-Silay and Clark Airports four times daily last December 15, 2017.  This was made possible through the efforts of the provincial governments of Negros Occidental and Pampanga to promote partnership through a Provincial Sisterhood.

Launching of the PAL Bacolod-Clark inaugural flight last December 15, 2017 with Mayor Evelio Leonardia of Bacolod City, Governor Lilia Pineda of Pampanga, Governor Joseph Marañon of Negros Occidental, Mayor Mark Golez of Silay City and Negros Occidental Tourism Officer Tin Mansinares.

Negros and Pampanga History

The history of Negros Occidental and Pampanga have both been shaped by the sugar industry and both share a love for good food. Traveling between the two provinces will surely be a memorable gastronomic experience and enrich ones knowledge on the culture of the two provinces.

This route will surely help boost tourism between Western Visayas and Luzon since going to Pampanga, Baguio, Vigan, Sagada and other tourist destinations in Central and Northern Luzon will be a lot easier with this direct flight to Clark, Pampanga. Travelers from Luzon will also have easy access to tourist spots and festivals in Bacolod, Iloilo and Dumaguete. This will also be a good alternative if Bacolod to Manila flights are fully booked and expensive.
