The Negros Museum opened the exhibit of 14 paintings of actor director Ramon Estrella (1911-1991) lat July 12, 2011. The 14 rare paintings are Estrella’s interpretation of Dr. Jose Rizal’s poem “Mi Ultimo Adios.Each painting represents one stanza of the national hero’s poem.
As director, one of his notable films was “Buhay at Pag-ibig ni Dr. Jose Rizal” which was done in 1956. He was also one of the first Filipino Directors to direct films in other countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Hong Kong.
Mi Ultimo Adios Exhibit will run until August 28, 2011.
