Red Indie Movie Now Filming in Bacolod

Don’t be surprised if you happen to see Jericho Rosales in downtown Bacolod these days. He is currently filming the indie film “Red” directed by Negrense Jay Abello.  Red is one of the 10 finalists in the annual Cinema One Originals Festivals, an annual independent film festival produced by the ABS-CBN-owned cable channel Cinema One.

Red is an action film about how mere gossip will affect the lives of the local drug dealers, junkies, and vagabonds in Bacolod. Jericho will play the role of Red, a legendary fixer in the underground world of  Visayas. The movie will be shot in Bacolod landmarks such as the Central Market, San Sebastian Cathedral, and other prominent landmarks in Negros.

The film was written by Jay Abello and Dwight Gaston.  The cast also include Mercedes Cabral, Mylene Dizon, Nico Antonio, and Negrenses John Arceo and JM Rodriguez.
