Trail runners will be thrilled to have the Salomon X-Trail Run 2016 Bacolod Leg at Talisay City, Negros Occidental on November 27, 2016. The event is in partnership with the Negros Mountaineering Club, Inc. (NMCI) so this will also be the much anticipated annual Forest Run.
There are two (2) distances: 17 km and 12.5 km with registration fee or P1000 and 800, respectively. Registrants will get Technical Shirts, Salomon race bag, medal and 20% discount in Salomon store Bacolod and Iloilo, raffle ticket, Full Meal and product giveaways from sponsors.
Starting line is at 720 meters and goes to a low 520 meters. The highers point is at 960 meters. Runners will expect a technical race with a mix of different terrains and river crossings, downhill and uphill treks, forest canopy covers, grassland hikes and a spectacular view of Negros and Panay islands. This is the only trail race in Western Visayas which truly offers an authentic trail run adventure. The Salomon X-Trail is a green event so the participants are obliged to bring their own hydration pack. Water stations are strategically located along the course.
To prepare the runners, a Trail Running 101 was held at SM City Bacolod with guest speaker and Salomon athlete, Aldean Lim. Runners were given valuable tips on how to prepare for the run run and how to have fun.

Transportation and Lodging
Race day pick-up time of participants in Bacolod will be at 4am at Caltex Imart, Lopues East across Mcdonalds. Last trip is at 5:00am. Camping area is available at the race site the night before the race. There are lodging rooms at Eco-Trail base camp and Hiyang-Hiyang Resort but are on a first come, first serve basis.
Run to Plant More Trees
This will be the 4th annual Forest Run and as in previous Forest Runs, proceeds will go to the Negros Forest Ecological Foundation, Inc. (NFEFI) for tree planting. Through the event, around 5,000 trees has already been planted in the area.
Salomon Cinco Sale
This will be the 3rd Salomon X-Trail run here in Bacolod but Salomon’s 5th X-Trail in the Philippines. To celebrate its 5th year anniversary, Salomon will be having a Cinco Sale on November 14-27, 2016.
