Farewell, MV Doulos

by Glady on March 6, 2009

MV Doulos left Bacolod City for Manila last March 3, leaving us with happy memories of the experience of being on board the biggest floating bookstore in the world.

I went there twice during their Bacolod revisit. I was one of the more than 100,000 visitors who explored the thousands of book titles on board and discovered hard to find ones. People from all walks of life in Negros and even coming from Panay, lined up and braved the heat of the sun in order for a chance to see and experience MV Doulos.

Farewell, MV Doulos and your 350 dedicated volunteers! We will be looking forward to your return two years from now.

Visit them while you can. It will be another 2 years before they return. Hopefully they will revisit Bacolod City.
