Transcom Bacolod to Start Operation In August

transcom-550x250

It seems Transcom Bacolod will start operation earlier than previously planned. Instead of September 2009, Transcom Center Bacolod located at the Lopue’s South Square will start operation on August 1, 2009.

Full operation is expected by the end of the year with the hiring of 2,000 call center agents. Its facilities will be inaugurated in October in time for the Masskara. Bacolod is Transcom’s second site after it opened its facility in Pasig City last year.

The opening of several BPO companies in Bacolod offered good job opportunities for Bacoleños. These companies are even encouraging call agents from Bacolod employed in other cities to return to Bacolod. This way, they no longer need to work away from their families but still enjoy the perks of working in an international BPO company.

I applied last fri, Sept 11, 2009 hir in Victorias because der’s a job fair hir, courtesy of transcom Bacolod. I am expecting that f ever u pass d interview, they will tell u to go to bacolod to have ur contract signing because dat was they doing b4 in Planta, after u pass d sed nterview u can have ur contract signing, but now it’s very different. I passed the initial interview held hir n victorias and one of d hr told me to go in bacolod on wed, sept 16, 2009 at exactly 1pm for the next step of the hiring process. So i went der, i arrived at past 12 without having my lunch because im waiting for my name to be called for d next step, almost 2 hours passed but they wasn’t able to col my name, so i just waited. at past 4pm, dat was the time dey called my name for the next step of the hiring process. It was already past 6 wen we left transcom, the hr told us to come back the next day for our final interview at 10am. the next day, i arrived b4 10am..i waited agen for my name to be called, but at exactly 12pm, d hr called my name telling me dat sum1 n manla will col us between 12-2pm, so me and d other applicants waited 4 d col, it was 2pm but we wasn’t able to receive a col, so we talk to d hr hu told us dat sum1 will call us 4 our final int. from manla dat no 1 called us. so he went nsyd 2 d hr ofis to update manla, wen he went outside d ofis, he told us dat d rison y d manla didn’t col us because dey still had der lunchbreak, d hr told us f u want u can go home and w8 for d call of manla for our final int. f ever d manla ofis cant col us, he told us dat we’ll comeback on sept. 18, 2009 because he will be the one to interview us. d other applicants went home but i chose to stay because i want to be interviewed dat day, i talked to d hr asking him f its ok dat im going to take d final interview dat day, so he allowed me. but i waited agen for an hour b4 my name was called. after d final int. d results arrived telling me dat i didn’t pass because der rison is dat i hve a POOR RESPONSE, f dats d case i hope dey did consider me because i thought dey luking for an applicants hu s fluent in english and has gud oral communication. i just cant accept d fact dat i just wasted my tym knowing dat d result s FAILED. i waited for how many hours, not having my lunch just only a water. i hope ur time conscious next time.thank u!

I, too, am intrested in applying. Is transcom still hiring?
Im still 17 years old. Can I apply here considering my age?

Seriously, I’m not surprised why some of you failed. Keep in mind that the usage of the English language is of utmost importance to any call center and I haven’t seen that one bit…. unfortunately.
